VASOC is a police and emergency services referred program. Police and emergency personal attending at the scene of a crime, tragedy, and/or disaster, call VASOC which sends out a team to provide victim crisis assistance.

VASOC also offers practical assistance to victims referred by community services.

Crisis assistance is provided by carefully selected and trained community volunteers who are on call to police and fire services in the Ottawa-Carleton Region, 24 hours a day, 7 day's a week.

Police and fire service referrals include:
